IMPAQ Strategy Expands to International Markets Through ASCEND Health Data Capture™

Columbia, Maryland - ASCEND Health Data Capture™ (HDC), a component of the ASCEND Health Intelligence Platform™, is now supporting international healthcare research studies including patient-reported outcomes in 70 countries.

This platform uses patient-friendly design and technology to easily and quickly capture patient-reported outcomes either within healthcare environments, or in the home. The platform delivers tools that are designed for mobile devices including smartphones and tablets, and desktop computers. Additionally, ASCEND HDC automatically captures informed consent agreements from patients, and can also manage and deliver reminders and incentives for patient participation.

IMPAQ International launches ASCEND Health Intelligence Platform™ and acquires the assets of Europe-based Digital Support

IMPAQ Strategy has launched the ASCEND Health Intelligence Platform™ to support the needs of IMPAQ Strategy’s healthcare clients. ASCEND (Advancing Science through Clinical Evidence, Networking and Data) is a solution delivery platform that includes the ASCEND Clinical Collaboration Network™, ASCEND Health Data Capture Tools™, ASCEND Advanced Analytics Engine™, and the ASCEND Active Response System™.

ASCEND incorporates the product assets and software-based contracts that have been acquired from Digital Support B.V., a Europe-based healthcare technology firm. The Digital Support data capture platform is flexible, highly customizable, mobile or web-based, and can be used to coordinate research studies, conduct follow-up and appointment scheduling, and capture patient reported outcomes, including quality of life measures. This platform is a proven solution to determine the effectiveness of new medical products, therapies, and treatments. The Digital Support data capture platform forms the basis for the ASCEND Health Data Capture Tools. In addition, Digital Support’s Chief Technology Officer, Job de Bruyne, will join IMPAQ Strategy as the Director of Product Development.

Health Data Capture Tools will power clinical studies, patient reported outcomes, and post-market surveillance. The Advanced Analytics Engine will blend linked data, analytics, and data visualizations via web and mobile tools to better understand complex clinical data, predict patterns, and conduct quality audits. Finally, the Active Response System will send targeted messaging based on clinical and well-being health information to drive quality improvement, physician guidelines adherence, and patient education.

Steve Coy Elected to AAFA Board of Directors

IMPAQ Strategy executive lead Steve Coy has been elected to serve as a member of the Board of Directors  (BOD) of the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA).  As a member of the BOD, Steve will provide insight to support AAFA’s mission of improving the quality of life for people with asthma and allergic diseases through education, advocacy and research.

Steve brings over 30 years of experience in providing vision, leadership, and business acumen to a wide variety of organizations in the healthcare, education, research, information services, and technology industries. He has a proven track record of success in creating new business lines and expanding current product and service reach in start-ups, nonprofits, and established companies.
“The opportunity to leverage my experience in patient registries and digital products will support AAFA as they continue to build patient engagement, research and collaboration products”, said Steve. “Building a platform for research will allow AAFA to better understand diseases, educate patients and caregivers, and support scientific inquiry in order to identify the most appropriate treatments for each patient.”
