Sam is responsible for executive oversight of strategic advisory services, product strategy, and business development for IMPAQ Strategy. He focuses on delivering data-driven strategic guidance, and guiding the creation of new products and services on behalf of nonprofit associations. He has 20 years of experience working within health strategy, policy, quality, research, and informatics, and has provided development expertise and oversight of numerous association-led national programs, including multi-institution research and quality patient registries, physician quality reporting programs, and staffing and productivity benchmarking systems. He has served as a consultant to medical associations for over 10 years, providing guidance and leadership in the development of new programs, and improvement of existing ones.
After completing his undergraduate education at the University of Florida, Sam relocated to the Washington D.C. area to pursue a career in nonprofits and data analytics. He has worked for the National Association of Children’s Hospitals and Related Institutions (now Children’s Hospital Association), American College of Cardiology, American Gastroenterological Association, National Committee for Quality Assurance, MedAssurant (now Inovalon), and the Advisory Board Company. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Decision and Information Sciences from the University of Florida, and an MBA from University of Maryland University College. He is a Certified Association Executive and member of the American Society of Association Executives, and a member of American Mensa. Sam is also a member of the board of directors of TransAAction Maryland, a nonprofit organization that provides resources and support to transgender teens and their families.
